Extract from The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, by Dr. Edward Bach

Those who are doing good work, are following the calling of their life and who hope to do something of importance, and this often for the benefit of humanity. At times there may be periods of depression when they feel that the task they have undertaken is too difficult, and not within the power of a human being.

Indication: For temporary lack of confidence.

People needing Elm are capable, normally self- assured and confident in their abilities, but because when they entrusted with additional responsibility, they feel inadequate for themselves. When additional duties or extra responsibility are to be handled, they begin to lose their confidence. They start to doubt their ability to cope.

When they take Elm, the confidence is restored and they are able to perceive the task calmly and execute taking one step at a time.

Empowering Affirmations

I am able to manage my work with ease.

I am confident.

Bach Remedies for Animals

Animals with Elm indication feel burdened by the sense of responsibility. May be animals who take part in shows, and when they enter the arena, they shy away and show signs of distress, specially if the animals are usually stable and don’t show this kind of behaviour otherwise.
