Extract from The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, by Dr. Edward Bach
Those with fixed principles and ideas, which they are confident are right, and which they very rarely change. They have a great wish to convert all around them to their own views of life. They are strong of will and have much courage when they are convinced of those things that they wish to teach. In illness, they struggle on long after many would have given up their duties.
Indication: For over enthusiasm
Vervain people feel very strongly about questions of principle and justice. They may go great lengths to defend what they believe in. They will stand up for those who suffer unfair treatment and are not afraid to speak out in defence of their cause. Their extreme mental energy can lead them to drive themselves too hard, however their ever alert minds make rest and relaxation difficult to achieve. They want others to believe as strongly as they do for a cause. The intention is always to make other see things they way they do, and when others don’t, this leads to frustration and tension. This remedy does not take the enthusiastic energy away, but helps them relax and bring calm to the mental storm.
Empowering Affirmations
I am able to relax while maintaining my enthusiasm.
I accept viewpoints of others.
Bach Remedies for Animals
Vervain animals are usually active and excitable and may seem highly strung. They may find it hard to keep still, and may always appear eager, interested in what is going around. This remedy can help them relax and maintain an equilibrium.
